Faux Sew Canvas

So for our wedding, instead of a traditional guest book, we did a "guest canvas" since I am a painter. So I bought a canvas, painted is purple since it was once of our colors and then did this faux stitch on it. Cute, huh? Well, it would make cute wall art as well and it is really easy to replicate. Here's what you need:
Scrapbook paper or origami paper, yarn, hot glue, canvas, paint, scissors, hole punch.
Cut the scrapbook paper into small squares, they don't have to be perfect. Hole-punch each of them in the center and then decide on a design. It could be a letter or a shape. Use your hot glue to adhere them to the canvas while weaving the yarn in and out of the hole-punched paper as you go. It creates a cute stitched look without actually having to sew through the canvas!
